Indians All-Star Carlos Santana wins Silver Slugger Award

Santana finished with 34 home runs and 93 RBI last season

CLEVELAND, OH – Indians All-Star Carlos Santana won a 2019 Silver Slugger Award.

The 32-year-old posted a .281 batting average, 34 home runs and a career-high 93 RBI last season. Santana was the Indians' only starter in the All-Star Game and he had the best season of his career.

Santana posted the highest OPS (.911) and slugging percentage (.515) of his career. He led the Indians in most major statistics including home runs, walks, on-base percentage and runs. 

The Indians traded for Santana last December. He has one year remaining on his contract.
