Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Cavs introduced new guard Collin Sexton this afternoon to the media. The eighth overall pick comes with a lot of excitement for the organization as the team still sits patiently with LeBron's decision. The newest wine and gold member was there with Head coach Tyronn Lue and General Manager Koby Altman.

The head coach spoke in glowing fashion about the new addition to the team.

"I've seen Collin grow as a player, he exemplifies hard work and dedication. Two years ago he wasn't a top player on the circuit and now look at him today, a lottery pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers."

The Alabama product was also just as excited to be a new member of the wine and gold.

"Honestly, just being able to come in and learn with all of these veterans around, I feel like I can do that as they help me become the best player on the court as well as off the court. Going into the draft I just wanted to go to the right team. I was just blessed to be there and be picked at number eight. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life."

The day wasn't without some controversary though. Sexton chose to wear Kyrie Irving's old number, but says it has nothing to do with the Boston point guard.

"Coming in, I'm going to set goals for myself, but I feel liek I'm not going to have to live up to anyone's shoes."
