Kevin Love undergoes surgery and will miss extended time

Love's status will be updated in six weeks

CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cavs face another hurdle in a young season that has seen plenty of obstacles. Forward Kevin love has undergone surgery on his left toe and will have his status updated in six weeks. The 5 time all star has missed the last four games with the team.

From the team: Cavaliers forward Kevin Love underwent successful surgery today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, by Dr. Martin O’Malley, to address continued left foot symptoms. He will now undergo an extended period of treatment and rehabilitation, with the timeline for his return to basketball activity updated in approximately six weeks.

The 30 year old has appeared in just 4 games on the season averaging 19 points and 13.5 rebounds per contest. 

The wine and gold have the day off as they take on the Hornets on the road tomorrow.
