CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Browns won’t interview Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels until Friday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The team has yet to confirm the timing of the interview but McDaniels is on the list of candidates to replace Freddie Kitchens, who was fired Dec. 29.

The network also reported Monday that McDaniels will meet with Giants on Wednesday. The Panthers would also like to speak with the Canton, Ohio native this week.

Cleveland’s search committee, which includes owner Jimmy Haslam, executive vice president JW Johnson, chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta and vice president of football administration Chris Cooper, hosted Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll on Monday.

Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, who was a finalist for the Browns job a year ago, is expected to interview with the Browns later this week in Minnesota.

Former Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who was the first to interview for the job in Cleveland on Jan. 2, has been hired by Dallas.

The Browns also interviewed Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman Thursday night in Baltimore, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy on Friday in Kansas City and 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh in San Francisco Saturday.
