Berea, OH (92.3 The Fan) – If A.J. Green is unable to go Sunday, Browns safety Damarious Randall believes the Bengals are in for very a long afternoon.

“If they don't have A.J., they're getting their ass beat,” Randall said Friday.

Despite not practicing this week, Green is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Browns and Randall is hoping No. 18 will be on the field.

“I hope he plays, to make the game a little bit more interesting,” Randall said.

So why is Randall so confident?

“You saw what happened last week,” Randall said referencing the Bengals’ 24-21 loss to the Ravens that saw Cincinnati total just 255 yards of offense.

Earlier this week Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said he expected Green to begin practicing on Thursday. Lewis is hopeful Green will participate in their walk-through Saturday and play Sunday.

Green has missed the previous two games, which the Bengals have lost, with a toe injury that he recently saw a specialist for.

“Top five receiver, one of the best in the league,” Randall said of the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver. “I have a lot of respect for him.”

In 13 games against the Browns Green has racked up 62 catches for 953 yards with seven touchdowns and that’s the player Randall expects to see if Green goes.

“He’ll probably be the exact same guy,” Randall said. “I didn’t practice for about six weeks and I played some pretty solid football, so I expect him to do the same.”
