Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers re-signed guard Rodney Hood Monday.

In 21 games – 11 starts – last season, Hood averaged 10.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in just over 25 minutes per game.

Cleveland acquired Hood, who was a restricted free agent this offseason, from the Utah Jazz as part of a 3-team trade at the trade deadline.

Hood averaged 14.7 points and 2.8 rebounds with Utah and Cleveland combined in 2017-18.

The Cavs offered Hood a $3.4 million qualifying offer in June and he agreed to sign it over the weekend. The 6-foot-8 guard will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Hood was selected by the Jazz 23rd overall in the 2014 NBA Draft and he’s averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 27.5 minutes per game over 248 games.
