Cavs set Salt Lake City Summer League roster

All three first round picks are listed on the squad

Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) - New Cleveland Cavaliers head coach John Beilein will get his first taste of coaching in the NBA months before the season starts.

Beilein will coach the Cavs' Salt Lake City Summer League team next week in Utah.

The head man will be joined by assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff, as well as the noteworthy Lindsay Gottlieb

Cleveland's three first round draft picks are listed on the roster, but fifth overall pick Darius Garland, who had a torn meniscus at Vanderbilt, is unlikely to play, according to's Chris Fedor.

The Cavs' other two first round picks, Dylan Windler and Kevin Porter Jr., are expected to play.

G-League Canton Charge alums Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, Malik Newman and JaCorey Williams are also listed on the roster and are slated to paly in the three-game schedule.

The Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies are the other teams playing in the Salt Lake City league this summer, with the games running from July 1st through the 3rd.
