Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Indians and Major League Baseball unveiled the logo for the 2019 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday.

The design features a guitar design in reference to ‘the spiritual birthplace of Rock and Roll.’ MLB deputy commissioner Tony Petitti added that the league has been in conference with the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame for potential event opportunities during the 90th All-Star week.

“Baseball stitching creates the shape that hold the ‘Rock and Roll’ stylized letters of the All-Star Game and its host,” the league explained in a press release. “The MLB logo punctuates this stylized representation as the head of the guitar. The club’s colors of red and blue are joined with tones of gray used for depth and dimension, while the six strings of the guitar are cleverly used in theme art to recognize Cleveland’s sixth time hosting the Midsummer Classic.”

2019 ML All-Star Game merchandise is now on sale at the Progressive Field Indians team shops and online at MLB.com, serving as the exclusive outlets for merchandise for seven days.

Petitti promised the ‘biggest and best’ All-Star week in the league’s history, citing a mandate from Commissioner Rob Manfred to make each game better than the last.
