Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Indians beat the Mariners 2-1 on Friday night to improve to 17-13 on the season. Shane Bieber pitched a career-high 7 ⅔ innings, allowing just one run.

The Indians' youngest starter stepped up against Seattle just days after finding out veteran Corey Kluber would miss significant time with a broken forearm. I talked with him on Saturday afternoon to see how he felt after throwing a career-high 114 pitches, plus I asked him about the competition between the starters in the clubhouse, his potential and more.
