Cleveland, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Free agent defensive tackle Gerald McCoy completed his visit with the Browns Friday but did not sign a contract.

McCoy was given the usual tour and spent much of the day in meetings throughout the building as is customary with free agency visits.

The Browns are interested in adding the six-time Pro Bowler to their defensive front which already boasts three Pro Bowlers in Myles Garrett, Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson.

McCoy ranks fourth among defensive tackles with 54.5 sacks, including 6.0 in each of the last two seasons, since 2010 and he’s also racked up 296 tackles, 79 tackles for loss and 140 quarterback hits over that span.

Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported Friday that McCoy will visit the Ravens on Tuesday.

McCoy, 31, was released Monday by Tampa Bay after nine seasons with him scheduled to make $13 million this coming season.

The Buccaneers replaced McCoy with Ndamukong Suh after signing him to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million, a savings of $3 million.
