Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) - The Cleveland Indians activated outfielder Brandon Guyer (cervical strain) from the 10-day disabled list on Thursday, designating outfielder Melky Cabrera for assignment in a corresponding move.

Guyer had been on the DL since May 20, appearing in 12 rehab games between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus from May 25 to June 10. In 33 games at the big league level in 2018, Guyer has an .839 OPS against lefties despite his .150/.244/.325 slash line.

Cabrera, 33, posted 12 hits and 3 walks in 66 plate appearances at the big league level since signing a minor league deal on April 24th. Without Spring Training, the outfielder currently has his highest O-Swing% and swinging strike% and his lowest contact% in a season to date.
