Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) — Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez represented the Indians among the names of those announced as Silver Slugger award winners yesterday as Major League Baseball recognized its best hitters as voted on by managers and coaches from around the league.

It is the second consecutive year Lindor and Ramirez have both recieved the honor.

Lindor slashed .277/.352/.519 as he became the first shortstop in Major League history to hit at least 35 home runs and 40 doubles while stealing at least 20 bases in a single season.

Ramirez, an AL MVP finalist finished the season hitting .270/.387/.552 on his way to 39 homers and 105 runs batted in while swiping 34 bases.

Boston's J.D. Martinez made history after recieving two Silver Sluggers, finishing atop the designated hitter voteing along with a top-3 finish among American League outfielders.
