Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) - Running back Isaiah Crowell will not return to the Browns, instead he is headed to the New York Jets.

ESPN reported Tuesday that Crowell will sign a three-year contract when free agency officially begins with the new league year Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Crowell averaged 4.1 yards per carry while rushing for 853 yards with 2 touchdowns last season for the Browns.

Signed originally as an undrafted free agent in 2014, Crowell totaled 3,118 yards rushing with 21 touchdowns while adding 96 catches for 770 yards and a touchdown receiving in 4 seasons.

Crowell's 3,888 combined yards from scrimmage are the most for a Browns player since the franchise returned to the NFL in 1999.
