Green reportedly to sign for veteran’s minimum

Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – Jeff Green will not return to the Cleveland Cavaliers next season.

Green becomes the third member of the 4-time eastern conference champion Cavaliers to depart after agreeing to a 1-year deal with the Washington Wizards for the veteran’s minimum TNT’s David Aldridge reported Tuesday.

Green is a native of Cheverly, Maryland and he played college basketball at Georgetown.

In 78 regular season games, including 13 starts for the Cavs, Green averaged 10.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game and in 22 playoff games Green averaged 7.7 points on .408 shooting.

Sunday night LeBron James agreed to a 4-year, $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers and point guard Jose Calderon agreed to join the Detroit Pistons for 1 year and $2.4 million. Calderon thanked the Cavs and Cleveland on twitter Tuesday and announced his agreement to rejoin the Pistons.
