Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Cleveland Cavaliers got some good news Thursday.

Kevin Love has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Love “completed the NBA’s Concussion Return to Play Program and will be available” the Cavs announced Thursday afternoon.

Love had been sidelined since the first quarter of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals following a violent but inadvertent collision with Celtics forward Jayson Tatum that saw the 2 players bump heads.

Love is averaging 13.9 points and 10.0 rebounds this postseason for the Cavs.

While Love is available for Cleveland, Golden State will be without forward Andre Iguodala, who is dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee that cost him the final 4 games of the Western Conference Finals.
