Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – Odell Beckham Jr. appears to still be processing last week’s trade to Cleveland.

Tuesday morning Beckham posted and later deleted an Instagram post in which he said he was “goin dark” to “vibe,” “get away” and “reevaluate some things” in his life after the Browns acquired him from the New York Giants in a blockbuster trade that was officially completed last Wednesday.

“P.S.A. I love you all so much, for the ones that follow and support I thank u all for that,” Beckham wrote. “I’m takin an emotional, mental, physical/ blah blah blah vacation . I appreciate the love honestly but at this moment for the next couple of days I’m goin dark. I won’t be around , phone is gone, with all due respect, please don’t text/ call / FaceTime unless it’s of the utmost importance. I really need some time to vibe and just get away, process, reevaluate some of the things in my life, as much has changed for me recently. I’m doin amazing thanks for askin!!! Im really just tryin to get everything together and gather all my thoughts so I can take the next steps in my life to be the very very very best me moving forward . God bless u all and again thanks for the love and support, I will see u soon…. Always LUVVVVV.”

Cleveland also received Pro Bowl defensive end Olivier Vernon in the deal that saw the Browns send right guard Kevin Zietler, safety Jabrill Peppers and the Nos. 17 and 95 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft to New York.

Following the trade, Beckham told NFL Network’s Kim Jones that he had mixed emotions about the trade, which he called “bittersweet.”

The following day when the Browns announced the deal Beckham’s statement through the team had a much more upbeat tone.

“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to be part of this organization and the direction they are headed,” Beckham said. “I’ve already witnessed the energy fans bring in that city having been to some playoff games at The Q. Browns fans deserve a winning football team. This is a fresh start for me and it’s going to be great to join Baker (Mayfield) and Jarvis on this team. I will always appreciate the opportunity the Giants granted me and I’m thankful to them along with the fans and people in that city for supporting me.

“The Browns are an organization that is moving forward and it’s exciting to be a part of something special that is in the process of being built. We have a lot of work ahead of us but I really feel like it’s time for the Browns to come together, start winning a lot games and I’m grateful to be a part of that going forward.”

Beckham, who has over 12.5 million Instagram followers, has been vacatioing in Europe.

Beckham caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in 2018 over 12 games before missing the final four games of the season with a quadriceps injury. For his career, Beckham has 390 catches for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns.
