Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Pittsburgh Steelers won't use the transition tag on Le'Veon Bell, which means the two-time All-Pro will become a free agent on March 13.

"Le’Veon is still a great player," Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "We can’t afford to use any other type of tags. Le’Veon will be an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year."

Bell reacted to the news on social media, sharing this tweet with his 1.7 million followers:

Bell missed all of last season after deciding not to sign a $14.54 million tender. The 27-year-old has rushed for 5,336 yards and 25 touchdowns in five seasons. He's also a dynamic receiving option out of the backfield, compiling 312 receptions, 2,660 yards and seven touchdowns in his career.

NFL free agency begins on March 13.
