Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) - Cleveland Cavaliers G/F Rodney Hood is not getting the long-term deal he was seeking. Yet.

Hood will accept Cleveland's $3.4 million, one-year qualifying offer, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.

The 2018-19 season will be a 'prove it' opportunity for the 25-year-old, who will have more opportunities with LeBron James out of the picture. Hood will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Hood averaged 10.8 points on 44.2% shooting over 21 regular season games with the Cavs after being dealt from Utah at the trade deadline. His minutes dropped from 25.3 per game in the regular season to 15.3 in the post-season.
