Sandy Alomar Jr. to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Alomar to be honored at 19th Greater Cleveland Sports Awards

Cleveland, OH - (92.3 The Fan) - Former Cleveland Indians catcher Sandy Alomar Jr. will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's 19th Greater Cleveland Sports Awards. 

Alomar spent 11 seasons as the Tribe's catcher and was a six-time All-Star.  Alomar was inducted into the Indians Hall of Fame in 2009.

Alomar has been a member of the Indians coaching staff since 2010 and is currently the Tribe's first base coach.

Alomar will be honored during the awards who which will take place on February 6th.
