Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – Everyone seems to have an opinion as to what Lebron James should do in the next few weeks concerning his basketball future, but no one has much actual information about those plans.

Enter Hall of Famer, 4-time NBA champion, former Cav and current studio analyst for TNT Shaquille O’Neal to offer his.

O'Neal was a guest on ‘Reiter’s Block’ with Bill Reiter on CBS Sports Network's HQ streaming service Monday afternoon where he was asked what James should do.

“I would tell him stay home,” O'Neal told Reiter. “I would tell him you’ve done your part in this league, stay home. You don’t want to create another expense for yourself and your family.”

O'Neal, who was a member of the 2010 Cavs team that was eliminated by Boston in the conference semifinals before James decided to go to Miami, also remembers something James did before ‘The Decision.’

“If you follow patterns, before he moved to Miami he bought a house in Miami,” O'Neal said. “So seeing he bought a big house in California, so, if you follow patterns, if you follow algorithms – you like that word – if you follow those things maybe he’s just trying to send us a message.”

O'Neal is referencing a $23 million purchace by James of a second home in Los Angeles, this one coming last December in Brentwood, California.

Following the Warriors sweep of the Cavs in the 2018 NBA Finals, James said his family would play a major role in his decision. Having a home in Los Angeles – or in his case multiple homes in LA – would make a move much easier on his family.
