Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer officially issued an apology Friday evening to Courtney Smith and her family following ridicule after Wednesday's press conference announcing Meyer's suspension.

During the press conference on Wednesday, the football coach apologized to Buckeye Nation multiple times but failed to acknowledge Courtney Smith and her family. Meyer took to Twitter to clear the air on Friday:

Ohio State suspended Meyer for the first three games on the season after failing to do enough in the domestic violence situation between Courtney Smith and former assistant coach Zach Smith.
